Healthfest 2015

Each year, Slippery Rock University hosts the Healthfest in the ARC. On October 20, from 9:00-2:30, there were over 70 booths that students, faculty, and staff could visit to learn about healthier choices and health information. Each booth had something different to offer;some even handed out pamphlets, had games, or snacks. Students could visit each booth throughout the day and gain more knowledge about health information from different organizations from campus and the area.

Evolution of Nintendo

All of us have grown up with the world of Nintendo: Super Mario Brothers, Super Smash Brothers, Pokemon, etc. Here is a look at the Nintendo systems and games since 1986; beginning with the Nintendo Entertainment System, to the newest addition in 2015.

Throughout taking these pictures, my boyfriend and I played some of the games, such as Wii bowling. Here is proof that I won:

Macek Sisters vs. NYC

This past weekend, my sister and I traveled to NYC to see a taping of the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. It was an incredible experience and one that I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to see Jimmy Fallon. We traveled by Mega Bus, which is a really cheap mode of transportation, for those who are looking to travel to well-known places. I have used Mega Bus multiple times and almost always did not have an issue. Any college student looking to travel to Harrisburg, NYC, or D.C...this is the way to go!

We stayed at the Hotel at Times Square, which was an inexpensive (well-sort of), extremely well-placed hotel. The room was perfect; two beds, one bathroom and one closet. Perfect for people who are looking for hotels just to use at night for sleep. Throughout our time at NYC, we traveled to Madame Tussauds, Times Square, Rockefeller Plaza, and many others. While our time in the Studio 6B was brief, we had an amazing trip in the city that never sleeps.
